Police in the southern German state of Bavaria announced that they and prosecutors are investigating a number of cases, including UAVs flying over military facilities in the two urban areas of Manching and Neuburg an der Donau, according to AFP.
On January 12, police discovered 10 UAVs in a protected military area in Manching, where there is a military airport and where Eurofighter fighter jets are located.
Eyewitnesses also saw several UAVs at the same location on December 16 and 18, 2024. On December 19, officials discovered three UAVs in Neuburg an der Donau, also on an air force base.
Police said they had launched “extensive investigations” into the incidents as they could not rule out the possibility that military facilities and defense companies were being spied on amid the Russia conflict. -Ukraine continues.
