Dinesh Trivedi, who is close to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, has joined the BJP. Let me tell you that he left the TMC a few days ago. Dinesh Trivedi joined BJP in the presence of party’s national president JP Nadda and Union Minister Piyush Goyal.
BJP national president JP Nadda said, “When I used to talk about Dinesh Trivedi, I always used to say that he is a good person in the wrong party and he used to feel that, now the right person is in the right party, Where we will be able to use them in the service of the country under the leadership of Narendra Modi.”
After joining BJP, Dinesh Trivedi said- ‘People of Bengal have rejected Trinamool Congress. The people of Bengal want progress, they do not want violence and corruption. Politics is not ‘played’, it is a serious thing. While playing, she (Mamta Banerjee) has forgotten the ideal.
On February 12, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Dinesh Trivedi announced his resignation in the Rajya Sabha. This decision of Trivedi was quite shocking. Dinesh Trivedi said while talking to Quint after his resignation. “TMC is no longer running Mamata Banerjee, but people like Abhishek Banerjee and poll strategists Prashant Kishore and Derek O’Brien.”
Trivedi’s name has been included in the long list of TMC leaders who are ‘dissatisfied’ with the party’s command Abhishek Banerjee and Prashant Kishore. Some leaders have been pacified by the TMC, but many leaders have left the party and joined the BJP.
