New Delhi:The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on Air India for failing to comply with norms related to the facilities and services to be provided to passengers.
DGCA officials have conducted an investigation in this regard in Delhi, Kochi and Bengaluru. Air India was then found to have violated the norms. A notice was issued to Air India on the 3rd. This has been answered by Air India. In this context, a fine of Rs.10 lakh has been imposed for violating CAR rules.
Non-accommodation of passengers affected by flight delays, non-training of some airport staff and non-compensation of passengers who traveled in unusable seats were listed as reasons for this. Air India is one of the leading airlines operating in India.
