The ongoing war over the name of CM in Maharashtra has now ended with the name of Devendra Fadnavis. According to reports, a senior BJP leader said that the name of Devendra Fadnavis has been finalized as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The senior leader said that the meeting to elect the new leader of the BJP legislature party will be held on 2 or 3 December.
The statement came after caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reiterated his “unwavering support” for the decision to be taken by the senior leadership of the saffron party, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda.
The Shiv Sena chief said that the allies of Mahayuti will reach a consensus on government formation. The NDA alliance includes the Bharatiya Janata Party, Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party.
Shinde also confirmed that the choice of Maharashtra CM candidate will be finalized tomorrow, Monday, December 2.
