Noida Airport will be connected by Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This proposal got in-principle approval from the Central Government on Wednesday. Noida’s international airport is being built in Jewar. A 31 km highway will be built from Ballabgarh to Jewar, of which 24 km will be in Haryana and 7 km will be in Uttar Pradesh. National Highway Authority of India i.e. NHAI will construct 31 km four lane from Ballabgarh in Haryana to Noida Airport.

NHAI will pay for the purchase of land for the construction of 24 km of road in Haryana’s part. The Uttar Pradesh government will buy land for seven km of road lying in its share and give it to NHAI.

Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to be built by 2023
The central government claims that the construction work of the eight-lane Delhi-Mumbai Green Field Expressway will be completed in 2023. Presently, 350 km of expressway has been completed and work is in progress on 825 km. With the construction of the new expressway, the distance from Delhi to Mumbai road will be reduced. At present it is 1450 kms from Delhi-Mumbai road. With the new expressway, this distance will be reduced to 1350 km.
