Agra: A tuition teacher has beaten a student to death for allegedly not paying his fees on time. The incident took place at Radoi village in Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Gautam, 26, a teacher, was arrested and a detailed investigation is underway, police said.

Shivam, a 12-year-old student, died after being beaten by a teacher. He beat the boy with a stick. Police said Gautam was conducting a private tuition class. He is being investigated under various sections including murder.

The boy had been attending tuition classes with Gautam for the last four months at a rate of Rs 250 a month. The student fee was paid on the 25th of every month. Shivam did not attend tuition class last month due to health issues. With this, the fee could not be paid.

The boy, who came to class on August 29 last year, was allegedly beaten and brutally beaten by Gautam for not paying his fees. The parents rushed the child to the hospital after he was critically injured in the beating. The child died the previous day with serious injuries despite receiving treatment.
