- Uttarakhand BJP busy in preparations, important visit before elections
- Program is also being made for Prime Minister to visit Kedarnath

Prime Minister Narendra Modi can visit Uttarakhand in the first week of next month. Uttarakhand BJP has started preparing for the PM’s visit. PM may also visit Kedarnath and inaugurate some infrastructure project in Rishikesh. Assembly elections in Uttarakhand are due early next year. This visit of the Prime Minister can be the beginning of the election campaign.
According to sources, PM Modi can visit Uttarakhand on 7 October. Here he can go to Rishikesh and then the program of going to Kedarnath can also be decided. According to a BJP leader, several projects are to be inaugurated in Rishikesh. It has projects ranging from AIIMS to airport.
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya can also go to Rishikesh with the PM. A BJP leader said that the PM can go to Kedarnath. However, the tour is not finalized yet. Uttarakhand BJP is trying to make PM participate in some public program during his visit. However, they have not received any reply from the central level yet.
BJP leaders say that the PM’s visit will give strength to the election campaign and the enthusiasm of the workers will also increase. A BJP leader said that PM Modi is very much liked by the people of Uttarakhand and the PM’s presence will win their hearts. A positive atmosphere will also be created by the inauguration of many development works before the elections.
Elections for 70 assembly seats in Uttarakhand are due early next year. This election has become more important for BJP because BJP is still in power. Till now the government has been changing in every election in Uttarakhand. BJP will also have to face antiincumbency. BJP has also changed its CM twice to avoid this.
