Tunisia: The crew of a plane flying over an active military zone sees a missile at the same altitude (AA)

The crew of a plane making, on Saturday October 16, a flight from Djerba (Tunisia) to Paris Orly (France), announced that they had observed a missile explode at the same altitude as their plane located, in their position at 10 a.m. morning (local time) in the airspace of Tunisia, about 80 nm (nautical miles) north-northwest of the Tunisian island of Djerba.

This is a Transavia France Boeing 737-800, registration F-GZHX performing flight TO-3367 from Djerba to Paris Orly, according to the website “The aviation Herald”, specializing in aviation safety and dissemination of aviation accident and incident reports.

At the request of the crew, Air Traffic Control (ATC) explained that there was an active military zone about 25 nm west of their position.

Tunisia: Arrest of MP and businessman Mehdi Ben Gharbia (AA)
