CPM activists ‘push’ Minister Roshi’s car to lodge complaint; Eventually the case for causing a drunken brawl

Ranni: A case has been registered against Minister Roshi Augustine for ‘blocking’ his car and causing a commotion due to alcohol. Malayala Manorama reported that the incident took place in Ranni last day. According to the report, the vehicle was stopped by three CPM activists demanding a solution to the problem of sewage flowing from Paramada.

The incident took place near Ranni Jantaikkal junction around 10 pm on Friday. The CPM activists came to complain after the minister returned with MLA Pramod Narayanan after the Kerala Congress M Ranni constituency convention.

Gunman was the only minister present at the time of the incident. The gunman asked those who stopped the car to back off, but they refused. The complaint was that the sewage from Paramada was reaching the nearby backyard and stream through the road. They demanded that the minister and the MLA visit the place.

When the gunman asked them to back off, there was a push and pull. According to the report, the police team reached the spot and took the three into custody. They were later released on bail. Police said a case has been registered against them for causing a commotion due to alcohol in a public place. Inspector MR Suresh said the car was not stopped and the car was stopped to lodge a complaint
