Third and last day of the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey. Yesterday and Tuesday, all the First Division teams advanced to the quarterfinals in their respective matches, with the exception of Betis, which lost by a landslide against Barcelona. Today the three games are between First Division teams. Firstly, Athletic-Osasuna and Real Sociedad-Rayo Vallecano play, at 7:30 p.m. Athletic suffered to reach the round of 16 (they eliminated Logroñés in the penalty shootout) and this afternoon they are looking to beat an Osasuna team that defeated Tenerife 1-2. In the other duel at 7:30 p.m., Real Sociedad arrives after beating Ponferradina 0-2 and Rayo 1-3 against Racing de Ferrol. At 9:30 p.m., Real Madrid receives Celta de Vigo. Ancelotti’s men seek to forget about the setback in the Super Cup final and, to do so, they will have to defeat a Celta team that arrives at the Bernabéu without Alfon, the footballer who gave the Vigo team a place in the round of 16 the previous day.
