The Congress on Monday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the construction site of the new Parliament building. She said that I wish the PM had visited a hospital in the second wave of the corona pandemic when people were battling to save their lives. Party spokesperson Pawan Khera also alleged that the Prime Minister’s visit to the construction site of the new Parliament building was an insensitive attitude.

Prime Minister Modi visited the construction site of the new Parliament building on Sunday. Took stock of the ongoing construction work there. The construction of the new Parliament building is expected to be completed by the second half of next year.
At around 8.45 pm, PM Modi had suddenly arrived at the construction site of the new Parliament building in the capital. He spent about an hour at the site and personally inspected the construction of the new Parliament building. It is worth noting that on Sunday itself, he returned to India from a four-day US tour. Modi inspected the construction work and interacted with the people involved in it.
The building is part of the Central Vista project. The opposition has been targeting the government over this. According to government officials, the winter session of Parliament will be held in the new building in 2022. The area of the new Parliament building will be 64,500 sq ft.
