From 5 to 8 November, the Rimini exhibition center will be transformed into the beating heart of environmental innovation thanks to Ecomondo 2024. Confindustria Cisambiente, as usual, will occupy a privileged space in the Institutional section, precisely at Stand n. 302 – South Hall, bringing a series of crucial issues to the center of the debate on the environment and sustainability. From the Environment and Legality report to an in-depth analysis of Critical Raw Materials, up to possible alternatives to Fast Fashionthere are various themes that the Association of Italian Environmental Industrialists brings to the fair. The main meeting of the first day will be at 3.30pm on the central stage in the South Hall (Innovation Arena) with Open Face Environment: a focus on the Environment – Legality combination conducted by Nicola Porro, in the presence and with the conclusion of the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Picchetto Fratin and the intervention of the Deputy Minister of Justice Francesco Paolo Sisto.

Leading representatives of the institutions and the most representative bodies in the environmental sector will discuss the main legal and regulatory instruments available to combat offenses and ensure a correct approach to environmental protection, with particular reference to the management of the integrated waste cycle. A dialogue with many voices, after greetings from Confindustria, between Presidents of MPS, ARERA, ISPRA, CERVED to highlight the relevance of synergistic and proactive relationships between institutions and industry in the creation of aware and responsible management modelsfrom a perspective of environmental legality and sustainability.
The second moment of the day will be at 4.45 pm at Stand 166 in pavilion D1 with the Italian Road Map of Critical Subjectsorganized in collaboration with the Iren Group, for an examination of the strategies for a safe and sustainable supply of these precious resources, in which the Circular Economy perspective plays a key role.
There will be no shortage of appointment reserved for young people, who will be protagonists on the morning of Wednesday 6 November with the Circular Economy explained to the Young Generations: high school students will be involved in a journey through the stands of some associated companies which will allow them to reconstruct the entire integrated waste management cycle. Each company, for the part of its competence, will illustrate a specific phase: from the design of collection systems and container design to waste recovery and in particular CRMs up to the closing of the cycle.
An interesting face-to-face between business and the world of politics on the afternoon of Wednesday 6th, at 3.30pm in the Yellow Room – South Hall, with Question Eco Mondo Time: a discussion between industrialists and the Environment commissions of the Chamber and Senate and the Commission Eco crimes. A method that Confindustria Cisambiente has already tested in Brussels in October with an important mission and which it intends to continue throughout next year. Recovery industrialists such as Mantellassi of Manteco di Prato and innovative plant engineers will present current and future initiatives aimed at encouraging recycling and transforming the textile production chain. Furthermore, the meeting with the stylist Chiara Boni, one of the main representatives of Italian fashion in the world, and the presence of the Secretary General of FEAD will guarantee a creative and broadened gaze towards Europe.
Another illustrious guest on the afternoon of Thursday 7 at 3.00 pm in the Yellow Room: Prof. Corrado Clini, expert in Environmental Policies and former Minister of the Environment, with the report Europe – China: two worlds compared proposes an analysis of two different economic – social models for identify characterizing factors within climate change programs and for the development of technological cooperation for the decarbonisation of the economy along the Silk Road.
At 4.30pm, still in the Yellow Room, Confindustria Cisambiente officially presents GommAmbientethe new division dedicated to companies that deal with the sustainable recovery of rubber waste, first and foremost end-of-life tires (ELTs). The new area aims to strengthen the leading role, at an international level, of Italian companies dealing with sustainable recovery, as well as contribute to resolving existing critical issues, promoting innovation in the management of this waste-resource.
On the same afternoon, the Extraordinary Commissioner Delegate of Government SIN Crotone Cassano and Cerchiara di Calabria will be present.
