Those who die as part of the Covid prevention campaign will also receive compensation. Compensation will also be given to those who die of Covid infection in the future. Compensation is to be paid from the State Disaster Relief Fund. The application should be submitted in the form prepared by the State Authority.

The application will be examined by the District Disaster Management Authority. The guideline states that a decision must be made within thirty days of receipt of the application. The compensation will be deposited in the bank account linked to Aadhaar.

It is also suggested that a committee be formed at the district level to look into the complaint of non-registration of Covid in the death certificate. The committee will include the Additional District Collector and the Chief Medical Officer. If the findings of the committee are against the complainant, the complainant should be informed of the reason.
