SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is dreaming of having a city on Mars by 2050. A few days ago, he also expressed his desire to set up a Tesla car factory on Mars. Many companies of the world have already stepped into the field of space tourism in collaboration with space agencies. Even though space tourism has started but its rent is very high. So far only rich people are able to travel in space. But Elon Musk already has a plan for the common people.
Musk had told last year even before the start of space tourism, how ordinary people would be able to take part in it. Elon Musk had revealed a ‘loan system’ for the common people. Where visitors can work in a city on Mars to pay for the cost of the flight. On January 17, Musk wrote on Twitter, ‘Whoever wants to go to space, who doesn’t have money, there is a loan available.’ Actually Elon Musk had disclosed this plan in 2016 itself.
Mars can become a research base
Musk announced in 2016 that there would be a long-term labor shortage on Mars, so there would be no job losses. There will be a lot to do on Mars. Musk said that everything would be needed on Mars, from pizza shops to iron foundries. SpaceX chief Mars development engineer Paul Wooster said in September 2018 that Mars could serve as a base for conducting scientific experiments. This proposal sounds like that of the International Space Station.
Tesla’s factory will be on Mars
Speaking at a Tesla shareholder meeting last month, Elon Musk spoke about a ‘car factory on another planet’. A shareholder asked for a deadline for this seemingly impossible thing. In response to which he expressed the possibility of establishing it in his lifetime. According to a Fox Business report, Musk said that we are several years behind Tesla’s first ‘off-planet factory’. ‘I want to see this before I die. It will be fun.’
