A bird that is easily confused with a snowball, a polar bear with a human attitude and a vain monkey that seems to play with the camera.
These are some images selected as finalists for the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2023which celebrate the funniest images of the animal world.
The finalist images (41 individual photos, 3 portfolios and 3 videos) were selected from thousands submitted by professional and amateur photographers from around the world.
The awards were created by Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, both professional photographers and passionate conservationists.
The purpose of the competition is not only to portray the humorous side of animals, but also to address the issue of wildlife conservation in a positive light.
The result of the competition will be announced on November 23.
But in the meantime, we’re sharing some of our favorite images.
