Chennai: Comedian Bonda Mani passed away after suffering from ill health for the past one year. He is 60 years old.
A native of Sri Lanka, Bonda Mani made her debut in the Tamil film industry with Bhagyaraj’s 1991 film ‘Paunu Paunuthan’. After that, he started with small roles and became famous as a comedy actor playing various roles. He gained attention by acting in films including ‘Sundhara Travels’, ‘Marudamalai’, ‘Winner’, ‘Velayutham’ and ‘Zilla’. He acted in the film ‘Thanimai’ which was released in the year 2019.
His various comedy scenes with Vadivelu gained attention. He was admitted to the hospital last year due to kidney problem. When both kidneys fail, he goes to the hospital once a month for dialysis.
In this situation, yesterday (Dec. 23) at 11.30 pm, actor Bonda Mani suddenly fainted at his house in Bozhichalur near Pallavaram. His relatives took him to a nearby government hospital in an ambulance. The doctors who examined him declared that he was already dead. Many celebrities and fans are condoling the death of Bonda Mani on social media.
