The havoc of cold continued in the national capital on Monday. There was a dense layer of fog in the capital and there was a severe cold wave and light rain in Delhi. The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius.

A local said, “The temperature here has dropped because it is raining. “The rain started around 5 am today.” The Indian Meteorological Department has also predicted below normal cold wave days in north-western India this winter.
Meanwhile, the city’s air quality index remained in the ‘severe’ category and was measured at 403 at 7 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board. AQI was also recorded as severe in many areas of the national capital. AQI was recorded at 439 in Anand Vihar, 456 in Ashok Vihar, 473 in Bawana, 406 at CRRI Mathura Road, and 430 in Narela.
