The Meteorological Department said that the prevailing westerly winds are bringing cold air from the mountains, due to which along with the cold wave, a severe cold day has also been felt.

The Meteorological Department said that the mercury is continuously falling in North India. Cold wave continues in entire North India including Delhi-NCR. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog in many states. There is a triple attack of dense fog, cold day and cold wave in Delhi-NCR. The maximum and minimum temperatures remain around 18 degrees and 9 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the Meteorological Department said that the cold may increase again with light rain on January 4 to 5. The maximum temperature can reach between 15 to 16 degrees Celsius.
