What talents does the Victory Cup honor?
2024 is a brilliant year for both Trinh Thu Vinh and Tran Quyet Chien. For the female shooter, in her first Olympic appearance, she was very close to an Olympic medal, but a bit of luck and lack of experience caused her to regrettably miss out on the bronze medal. However, with what she has accomplished at the age of 24, Thu Vinh’s future is very bright.
As for Tran Quyet Chien, 2024 is the year that marks one glory after another for the number 1 player in Vietnam. He has won 2 World Cup carom billiards championships and 1 world team championship with Bao Phuong Vinh. In addition, he also finished second in the list of the best western players 2024 organized by the World Carom Federation (UMB). The successes of Tran Quyet Chien in particular and other Vietnamese players in general have brought the name of Vietnamese billiards to new heights in the world map of this sport.
This year, football individuals continue to be absent from the Victory Cup even though at the end of 2024 and early 2025, the Vietnamese men’s football team caused a “fever” with the 2024 AFF Cup championship.
