“Congress did the work of bringing the country to the brink of division on the basis of appeasement. Jawaharlal Nehru did not want Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar to be a part of the Constituent Assembly…”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath further said, “They (Congress) want to do politics to divide the society. Political bread is being baked by them (Congress) by presenting half-baked statements of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in front of the media…”
CM Yogi said that Congress did injustice to Baba Saheb. Nehru not only tried to stop him from joining the Constituent Assembly, but also campaigned to defeat him in the elections. Congress had made every possible effort to defeat Baba Saheb in Bhandara elections. He said that even after Baba Saheb’s Mahaparinirvana, Congress did not allow any memorial to be built in his honour. On the contrary, BJP gave due respect to Baba Saheb by building five shrines.
