Chinese spy accused of stealing confidential US trade information

Own report: A Chinese spy has been convicted in a US court. He is accused of stealing information from several airlines. The U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.

Yanjun Xu, the first Chinese spy to be extradited to the United States for trial. In addition to conspiracy to steal information, he has been convicted of conspiracy and attempted financial espionage.

Yanjun could face up to 60 years in prison and a total fine of more than লক্ষ 5 million. A federal district court judge will announce his sentence.

Alan Kohler Jr., the FBI’s assistant director, said in a statement that the FBI was working with dozens of U.S. agencies to share information on China’s fight against the operation.

In 2013, Yanjun was accused of changing his name several times for economic espionage and commercial theft of confidential information for China. Several U.S. aerospace and aerospace companies, including GE Aviation, a unit of the General Electric Company, were reportedly targeted.
