Chinese authorities said on Monday that flooding in central Henan province last month killed more than 300 people.
“At least 302 people have died in Henan Province due to heavy rains since July 16. 50 others are still missing,” international news broadcaster CGTN reported.
Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province which is home to more than 10 million people, has been the hardest hit by the floods, the largest in 60 years.
Rains and floods have raised water levels in rivers and caused flooding in the streets of several cities.
More than five million people have been affected in 120 districts of the same province.
