Champions Trophy 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the three-match ODI series against England. Captain Rohit Sharma will lead the team in both the tournaments, while Shubman Gill will be the vice-captain. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami will also be part of Team India in the Champions Trophy and ODI series against England.
Jasprit Bumrah is included in this global event despite recent injuries. Bumrah was injured in the last Test match against Australia, but now he has been allowed to join the team. Mohammed Shami played the last ODI of his career in the year 2023. Now he has also got a place in the team. Young players Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill, who were rested in the T20I series against England, have also been included in the team. The team also has experienced players like KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, who will handle the responsibility of wicketkeeping. Shreyas Iyer has returned to the team, which will strengthen the batting order.
