Union Budget 2024: There may be a big announcement for the youth, girls and women of the country in the budget (Budget 2024). Recently, for the third consecutive time, the NDA coalition government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi can introduce a special scheme to financially empower girls, women and youth. In the upcoming budget, the government can announce a scheme for the whole country on the lines of Madhya Pradesh government’s Ladli Behna Yojana (ladli-behna-yojana) and Maharashtra government’s Ladka Bhau Yojana. Girls, women and youth across the country can get the benefit of the scheme.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present the country’s Union Budget in Parliament tomorrow i.e. on Tuesday. This budget will outline the financial strategy and economic priorities of the Modi government for the current financial year i.e. FY 2024-25. It is expected to have many announcements for the betterment of all sections including half the population, youth. What is the Ladli Behna Yojana of MP Government?
The Madhya Pradesh government had started the Ladli Behna Yojana (ladli-behna-yojana) with the aim of financially empowering the women and girls of the state. Currently, under the Ladli Behna Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 1250 is being given to eligible women and girls every month. Earlier, Rs 1,000 was given under this scheme, then it was increased to Rs 1,250 or Rs 15,000 annually.
This scheme was launched on March 5, 2023 with the aim of supporting women empowerment and improving their economic well-being. For those who were left out, the facility to apply again was given from July 25, 2023, which has now been completed. Through this program, eligible beneficiaries get monetary benefits to enhance their livelihood.
Women who missed out on the benefits of this scheme in the first phase were given another chance to apply from July 25 this year, in which the eligibility criteria were simplified. In the second phase, married sisters above 21 years of age also got a chance to apply, while women from families with tractors were also included in the benefits. The age limit for application has now been made from 21 years to 60 years, which was 23 to 60 years in the first phase.

What is the plan of Maharashtra government?
On the lines of the MP government’s Ladli Bahan Yojana, the coalition government of Maharashtra first started the ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ for the women of the state. The Mahayuti government’s ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’, which is being called Meri Ladli Bahan Yojana in Hindi. Under this scheme, women from economically weaker sections will be given Rs 1500 every month. In the first phase of the scheme, money will be deposited in the bank accounts of sisters on Rakshabandhan. Shortly after the announcement of this scheme, on July 17, the Shinde government has started a special scheme to attract the youth. The BJP-Shiv Sena and NCP coalition government has named this scheme ‘Ladka Bhau Yojana’ before the assembly elections, which can be called ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana’ in Hindi. Under this scheme, youth doing apprenticeship in a factory will be given a scholarship or stipend of Rs 6 to 10 thousand every month based on their educational qualification.
Benefits will be given according to eligibility in Ladla Bhai Yojana
Under the Ladka Bhau or Laadla Bhai scheme, financial help will be given to the youth of Maharashtra, which will be according to their educational qualification.
12th pass students will be given 6 thousand rupees every month.
Diploma holders will be given 8 thousand rupees every month.
Graduate youth will be given Rs 10,000 every month.
The youth will get this amount for 6 months.
