British Prince Andrew will appear in court to respond to allegations of sexual abuse, court sets deadline

Britain’s Prince Andrew will have to appear in court by July 14 to answer questions in a sexual assault lawsuit filed by a woman. The woman had alleged that Andrew sexually abused her when she was a teenager. US District Judge Lewis Kaplan in Manhattan set a deadline for completing the statements in Monday’s scheduling order. The order was agreed upon by attorneys for Andrew and the accused woman, Virginia Giuffre.

Giuffre has said that the Duke of York forced her to have sex at Ghislaine Maxwell’s home in London nearly two decades ago. He also accused Andrew of misbehaving at the home of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein in Manhattan and on a private island. Andrew, 61, has vehemently denied Giuffre’s allegations.

Got the title of Playboy Prince
Andrew has an October 29 deadline to formally respond to Giuffre’s lawsuit. The court will hear the matter on November 3. Giuffre has until December 15 to amend his complaint. Prince Andrew, the son of British Queen Elizabeth II, has also received the title of Playboy Prince from a respected war hero in Britain. Prince Andrew is ninth in the line of claim to the British throne. A woman named Virginia Roberts Giuffre has filed a case against him for forcible sex.

Allegations were made in 2019
Virginia Roberts Giuffre claims she was the victim of notorious sex trafficker and financier Jeffrey Epstein. Giuffre first told the BBC in 2019 that she was forced to have sex with Britain’s Prince Andrew. She was said to have been sent into a trap by Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with the Duke of York. Giuffre claims that Epstein forced her to have sex with his friends, including the Duke of York, at an early age.
