Boy bullied at school; Employee jailed for 20 years

Hyderabad: A woman has been jailed for 20 years for molesting a boy at school. The first track special court convicted K Jyoti, 27, of working as a nanny at a school in Hyderabad. The court also ordered him to pay a fine of Rs 20,000.

The woman was arrested in December 2017 on a complaint of child molestation by her father. Chandrayangutta police had also charged Poxo and other departments against them. The father said the abuse became apparent when he found scars on the child’s body and asked for information.

The boy’s father told police that the girl had been misbehaving recently and had been abused while being taken to the toilet. He was sexually assaulted and burned with a cigarette. The father said the boy told them they had threatened not to divulge the details of the abuse.

A detailed examination revealed that the child had been sexually abused. The detailed investigation report conducted by the police was against the girl. The court upheld the findings of the police and the arguments of Assistant Public Prosecutor Ayesha Rafat and sentenced Jyoti to 20 years in prison.
