In the statement made by the company, it was stated that Sivas Compressor Station was determined as a pilot region within the framework of the “Communiqué on the Implementation of Energy Performance Contracts in the Public Service”.

In the statement, it was stated that tenders for electricity generation from waste flue gas heat have been started in Sivas, and that bids can be submitted until 11 November.

The statement noted:

“Compressor stations are facilities established at regular intervals along natural gas pipelines. Within the scope of the project, it is planned to generate approximately 45 gigawatt-hours of electrical energy at full capacity annually by establishing an ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) system from the heat released from the waste flue gas of the four gas pressurization turbines at Sivas Compressor Station. At the same time, with this project, in which the amount of waste heat released to the environment will be reduced by 95 percent, in addition to meeting the entire annual electricity need of Sivas Compressor Station, approximately 20 percent of the total annual electrical energy needed in other facilities of BOTAŞ will be met and the total installed power of the country in electricity generation will be met. It is aimed to contribute.”
