The member of the Presidency Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, offered his condolences to Turkey for the victims of the floods which affected three provinces in the north of the country.
This is what emerges from Džaferović’s message of condolence to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday.
Džaferović expressed his deep sadness at the catastrophic floods which devastated the Turkish provinces of Kastamonu, Sinop and Bartin.
“I offer my sincere condolences to the families of the citizens who have lost their lives and to the brother Turkish people,” he said.
The Bosnian leader wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) announced on Saturday that the death toll from torrential rains and floods that affected three provinces in the north of the country rose to 51 dead .
According to AFAD, torrential rains and floods claimed the lives of 43 people in Kastamonu, 7 in Sinop and 1 in Bartin.
In addition, 9 injured are still receiving the necessary care in hospitals.
