BJP MP Anurag Thakur said on Thursday that he has lodged a complaint with Delhi Police against opposition leader Rahul Gandhi for assault and instigation. Talking to journalists, the BJP leader said that he has filed a complaint under sections 109, 115, 117, 125, 131 and 351. Section 109 is attempt to murder, Section 117 is voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
Anurag Thakur said, “We have filed a complaint against Rahul Gandhi with Delhi Police for assault and instigation. We have mentioned in detail the incident that happened outside Makar Dwar today, where NDA MPs were protesting peacefully… We have filed a complaint under sections 109, 115, 117, 125, 131 and 351. Section 109 is attempt to murder, Section 117 is voluntarily causing grievous hurt.”
His charges came after both the NDA and India Bloc parties protested in Parliament, in which an alleged scuffle broke out and two BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were injured. Both the MPs were hurriedly admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi.
Medical Superintendent Ajay Shukla said that both the leaders have suffered head injuries and have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). On Pratap Sarangi’s injuries, he said that Sarangi was bleeding heavily.
