UP: BJP leader Shyam Dev Chaudhary passed away, PM Modi expressed grief by tweeting
BJP leader Shyam Dev Rai Choudhary, who has been MLA from Varanasi South in Uttar Pradesh for seven consecutive terms, breathed his last on Tuesday morning. BJP leader Shyam Dev Rai Choudhary died during treatment in the hospital at the age of 85. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on the news of his demise.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over the demise of the former MLA. PM Modi wrote on social media, ‘I am deeply saddened by the demise of senior BJP leader Shyamdev Rai Chaudhary, who was dedicated to public service throughout his life. We all affectionately called him ‘Dada’. He not only made an important contribution in watering and grooming the organization, but he also worked with full dedication for the development of Kashi.

Giving this information, a BJP official said thatShyam Dev Rai Chaudhary was admitted to a private hospital in Mahmoorganj for treatment due to brain hemorrhage, where he died on Tuesday morning during treatment.
He said that the loss caused by grandfather’s death cannot be compensated. He said that Dada was popular among the public because of his simplicity and straightforwardness and in his demise, Kashi has lost a popular leader.
BJP leaders said that Shyam Dev Rai Chaudhary was the MLA of City South seven times continuously from 1989 to 2017. Shyam Dev Rai, who was a minister in the BJP government, was also the Protem Speaker in 2007 and 2012.
