During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the public meeting, said, “Today, voting for the first phase is taking place in the neighboring state of Jharkhand. People of Jharkhand are voting to fulfill the dream of developed Jharkhand. I would urge all the voters of Jharkhand to participate in voting in maximum numbers.”
He said, “I also pay tribute to the nightingale Sharda Sinha, daughter of the land of Mithila.” PM Modi said, “In earlier times, situations were also very difficult. There were very few hospitals, the number of doctors was very less, medicines were very expensive, there was no way to diagnose the disease and the governments were busy only in promises and claims. Here in Bihar, until Nitish Kumar came to power, there was no seriousness about the concerns of the poor. The poor man had no other option but to suffer the disease silently…”
The Prime Minister said that “So far, more than 4 crore poor patients in the country have been treated under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. If there was no Ayushman Bharat scheme, most of these people would not have been admitted to the hospital. I am satisfied that a big worry in their lives has been removed by the scheme of the NDA government…Crores of families have been saved about Rs 1.25 lakh crore by the Ayushman scheme. If the government had announced to give this Rs 1.25 lakh crore, then the headline discussion would have been going on for a month that due to one scheme, Rs 1.25 lakh crore is left in the pockets of the citizens of the country.
