“One hundred per cent of the people in Bhubaneswar have already received the Covid vaccine, along with one lakh migrant workers in the city, who received the first dose of the vaccine,” Anshuman Rath, deputy commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation South-East Zonal, told India Today.

The official added that the municipal corporation was working towards the goal of 100 per cent vaccination by July 31. The two-dose vaccine was given to 9,07,000 people over the age of 18. This will include 31,000 health workers and 33,000 frontline workers.

There are 5,17,000 people between the ages of 18 and 45 and 3,20,000 people over the age of 45. Anshuman said 18,35,000 doses of Covid vaccine had been given by July 31. A total of 55 vaccination centers have been set up in the city. This will include about 30 primary health centers and community health centers.
