Top 10 Best Selling Cars in May 2024: With the car sales figures coming in May this year, Maruti Suzuki has left Tata Motors behind. In fact, Maruti Suzuki’s Swift model has become the number one car in terms of sales. While the best-selling car in April 2024 was Tata Punch. Like always, this time too there are 7 models of Maruti Suzuki in the top 10 selling list. Apart from this, vehicles of Tata Motors, Hyundai and Mahindra have also managed to make a place in the list. The list of top 10 cars sold during May 2024 can be seen here. Top 10 best-selling PVs in May 2024: Maruti Swift is number one in sales
Maruti Suzuki has regained its top position with the fourth generation Swift. 19,393 Swift cars were sold in May 2024. Last month, sales of this model of Maruti Suzuki increased by 12 percent year-on-year. Due to which Swift has overtaken Tata Punch in terms of sales. 7 cars of Maruti Suzuki including Swift are included in the top 10 selling list. There are three hatchback cars of Maruti Suzuki in the list and out of the three, only Swift has registered an increase in sales on an annual basis. Sales of the rest WagonR and Baleno, both hatchbacks, have declined on an annual basis. Sales of Maruti Suzuki’s Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga and Francox included in the list have increased.

Top 10 best-selling PVs in May 2024: Punch, Creta and Scorpio also included in the list
Apart from Maruti Suzuki, Tata Punch, Hyundai Creta and Mahindra Scorpio are in the list of top 10 cars sold within the country. Punch is currently the number one car of Tata Motors in terms of sales. Last month, the Indian car manufacturer sold 18,949 Punch cars. Its sales have increased by 70 percent on an annual basis. Tata’s once popular Nexon is not included in this list and its sales have seen a decline of 21 percent as compared to May 2023.
Creta is the best-selling car of South Korean carmaker Hyundai. In May this year, the company sold 14,662 Creta cars. Its sales have increased by 1 percent on an annual basis. Mahindra has managed to remain consistently in the top 10 list for the last few months with the sale of Scorpio. In May 2024, Mahindra sold 13,717 vehicles. Its sales saw a growth of 47 percent last month on an annual basis.
