Best Seller Car, Maruti Brezza sub 4 meter SUV: There is a big change in the list of best selling cars. Leaving behind Hyundai Creta, Maruti Swift, WagonR, Tata Punch and Maruti Ertiga, Maruti Brezza has become the best selling car in the country. 19,190 Maruti Brezza were sold in August this year. Last year in the same month, 14572 Brezza cars were sold within the country. Its sales have increased by 32 percent on an annual basis.
Talking on a monthly basis, Maruti Brezza was the sixth most sold car in July this year. During this period, 14676 vehicles were sold within the country. On a monthly basis, Maruti Brezza’s sales have grown by 23.52 percent.

This is the list of top 10 selling cars in the country
Sales of 8 of the top 10 cars sold in the country have grown on an annual basis. On the other hand, sales of 7 cars have decreased on a monthly basis. 6 SUVs found a place in the top 10
With the passage of time, the popularity of the SUV segment is increasing in India. If we look at the sales data of August 2024, the SUV segment has more than 50 percent share of total car sales in the country. Out of the top 10 selling cars, 6 are from the SUV segment. On the other hand, only Maruti Suzuki cars have found a place in this list among non-SUVs. Apart from 6 SUVs, the 10 best-selling cars also include 3 hatchbacks and an MPV which are only Maruti Suzuki cars. Among the cars that have found a place in the top 10 car list, 6 are from Maruti Suzuki, 2 from Tata Motors and one each from Hyundai and Mahindra & Mahindra.
Maruti Brezza became the best selling car in the country with 19,190 sales in the country in August. It is being said that this is the highest monthly sale of this compact SUV of Maruti till date. After Brezza, the second best selling car in the country was Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga model, which managed to get this position with 18,580 units sold. The record sales of Ertiga in India last month is being said to be the best monthly sale till date.
In August, Hyundai Creta managed to secure the third position with sales of 16,762 units. Maruti Suzuki WagonR remained at the fourth position with sales of 16,450 units. Tata Punch remained at the fifth position with sales of 15,642 units. The recently launched Maruti Suzuki Swift registered sales of 12,844 units in August. Sales of this hatchback are expected to increase with the launch of CNG variants before the festive season. Mahindra Scorpio (including N and Classic) again registered excellent sales with 12,723 units. Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Maruti Suzuki Frontx, the best sellers sold at Nexa showrooms, registered sales of 12,485 units and 12,387 units respectively. Tata Nexon was the 10th best-selling car in India in August with 12,289 units.
Features of the best selling car
Maruti Brezza is a sub 4 meter SUV i.e. compact SUV. Its length is 3995 mm, width is 1790 mm and height is 1685 mm. Due to the wide body, there is better shoulder room inside the car, while due to the high roof, it is easy to sit in and get out of the car. This car is available in petrol and CNG options. It has a 1.5-liter K15C 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. The engine installed in Brezza gives maximum power in petrol mode. 100.6PS power and generates peak torque of 136.8 Nm.
In CNG mode, this is the maximum Generates 87.8 PS power and 121.5 Nm torque. Engine is mated to transmissionA 5-speed manual gearbox has been added. It has a 48-litre petrol fuel tank and a CNG tank with a capacity of 55 kg. Talking about fuel efficiency, this car runs on the use of one kg of CNG. It is capable of giving a mileage of 25.51 km. The company claims that the hybrid Maruti Brezza with automatic transmission is capable of giving a mileage of 19.90 km in one liter of petrol.
