After a workout session on Friday evening, he complained of chest pain and after such problem again this afternoon, family members took him to the hospital.
The officer said, ‘Now his condition is stable. We are seeing whether this pain is due to a heart related problem or not. They will have many tests.
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted, “Sad to hear that @SGanguly99 suffered a mild cardiac arrest and has been admitted to hospital. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family!.”
West Bengal Sports Minister and former cricketer Laxmi Ratan Shukla also reached the hospital to see Ganguly. He told, “I was in a meeting, as soon as I got the news, I immediately reached the hospital. He is our captain, he will definitely get over it.”
BCCI secretary Jai Shah said, “I pray and pray for Sourav Ganguly’s early recovery. I have also spoken to his family. Dada’s condition is stable and he is responding well to treatment.”
Cricketer Virender Sehwag also pray for Ganguly’s early recovery.
