The match kicks off at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuïc, although with FC Barcelona improving against Athletic Bilbao, for the second round of the EA Sports LaLiga. The Blaugrana are looking to get their second consecutive win at the start of the season, while the Lions will try to get their first, after the lacklustre draw against Getafe at San Mamés. All eyes will be on Nico Williams, after a summer in which his arrival at the Catalan side was heavily rumoured. It is the first time that the Basque winger and Lamine Yamal have faced each other on the pitch after having been the most decisive attacking duo in the last European Championship. Dani Olmo was initially part of the list of players called up by Hansi Flick for the match, but the club has not yet managed to register him due to financial problems.
