A second woman made new accusations against Antony Matheus, 23, a Manchester United (ING) and Brazilian national team player. Banker Ingrid Lana, 33, says she was pressured by the attacker to have sex on a trip she took to England in 2022. Wanted by F5the player claims that he is innocent and that the accusations are unfounded.
Ingrid gave an interview to journalist Roberto Cabrini, from Record, which will air next Sunday (10), on Domingo Espetacular and on Câmera Record. In her statement to the reporter, Lana told her version of the story and said that she went to the European country on a business trip.
Upon being invited by Antony to go to his house, the banker says that she realized that he wanted to have sex. At that time, the soccer player was already dating Gabriela Cavallin, a DJ who also accuses him of violence.
“He tried to have sex with me and I didn’t want to. He pushed me against the wall, and I hit my head,” says Lana. My purpose was just business. Arriving there at his invitation, I realized that he had ulterior motives. I’ve never been anyone’s lover,” said Ingrid.
Last Monday (4), Antony was recalled from the initial qualifying games for the 2026 World Cup, after the details of Gabriela Cavallin’s complaint were released. On the same day, the player stated, on his Instagram account, that he is “a victim of false accusations”.
“I can calmly state that the accusations are false, and that the evidence already produced and the other evidence that will be produced demonstrate that I am innocent,” he wrote.
It’s not unheard of for Manchester United to deal with situations like this. In early 2022, forward Mason Greenwood was accused of rape and domestic violence. The charges were dropped in February this year. The club opted to loan the English player to Getafe, in Spain.
Antony denies new accusations
O F5 sought out player Antony’s team to comment on the new complaint brought by Record. The team sent a note stating that the accusations are unfounded.
“The player Antony Matheus dos Santos has been the target of unfounded accusations made by his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin. Antony, through his defenders, has been closely following the police investigations within the scope of the ongoing inquiry at the 5th Police Station for the Defense of Women and trusts in the seriousness of the work of the police authority”, says the note.
“The investigation is being carried out in judicial secrecy, with no further comments on its content. In respect for the principle of presumption of innocence, sober, impartial, cautious and professional treatment is expected from the media and the Civil Police, Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Judiciary act with impartiality and with respect for the right to defense. Antony will remain at the disposal of the police authorities, trusting that, in the end, the truth will prevail with the recognition of his innocence”, concludes the statement.
