The new month started from today amid Diwali festival.The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for November 2024, in which there will be bank holidays on several days due to various regional importance and weekends.Major holidays include Diwali and Guru Nanak Jayanti, as well as all Sundays and some special Saturdays. Apart from this, work in banks which are voting for the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand are also going to be disrupted. You can check the complete list of holidays on which days banks will be closed in your city.
On what days will you be on holiday?
- 1 November (Friday): Banks will remain closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Manipur due to Diwali, Kut and Kannada Rajyotsava.
- 2 November (Saturday): Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh due to Diwali, Lakshmi Puja and Govardhan Puja. This day is the first Saturday of the month, which is generally not a holiday.
- 7 November (Thursday): Banks will remain closed in some states like Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand on the occasion of Chhath festival (Evening Arghya).
- 8 November (Friday): Banks will remain closed in Bihar, Jharkhand and Meghalaya due to Chhath festival (Morning Arghya)/Wangala Mahotsav.
- 15 November (Friday): On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartik Purnima/Rahas Purnima, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Hyderabad-Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, Bengal, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand. Banks will remain closed in Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar.
Banks will remain closed for so many days due to weekend
- 3 November (Sunday): Banks will remain closed in all states and union territories on Sunday.
- 9 November (Saturday): Second Saturday.
- 10 November (Sunday): sunday.
- 17 November (Sunday): sunday.
- 23 November (Saturday): Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on the occasion of Sing Kutsnem. This is also the fourth Saturday.
- 24 November (Sunday): sunday.
- 18 November (Monday): All banks will remain closed in Karnataka on the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanti.
Online banking services will remain operational
Despite bank holidays, you can transact money or do other work through online banking and ATM. Bank holidays will not have any impact on these facilities. During bank closure, you can do many bank related tasks through mobile or net banking. All online facilities will remain operational during bank closure.
