The naval forces of Azerbaijan on Monday, October 11, began command-staff exercises in their sector of the Caspian Sea.
Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and other representatives of the leadership of the Ministry got acquainted with the course of the command-staff exercises of the Naval Forces, the press service of the Defense Ministry reported.
Navy Commander Rear Admiral Subkhan Bekirov gave a briefing on the exercise. It was reported that within the framework of the command-staff exercises, tasks on the protection of the energy infrastructure in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea will be worked out on the map.
It was noted that the main goal of the exercises is to improve the practical skills of commanders and staff officers in operational decision-making and the effective use of available forces in various conditions arising in the organization and conduct of combat, as well as to increase the knowledge and skills of personnel.
The participants in the exercises will perform tasks of continuous and decisive control of subunits in the course of hostilities.
After listening to the reports of the naval crew involved in the exercises, the Minister of Defense gave appropriate instructions in connection with the course of the exercises.
The command post exercise will last until October 13.
