Ayushman Bharat Scheme Expanded, Ayushman Vay Vandana Card, AB-PMJAY:Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana has been expanded in the country from today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started Ayushman Bharat Yojana also for those above 70 years of age. On the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti and 9th Ayurveda Day, PM Modi also handed over Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards to the beneficiaries from UP, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand.
Ayushman Vaya Vandana card will provide 5 lakh free treatment
With the expansion of the scheme, now all the citizens of the country aged 70 years and above, irrespective of the income group, will get the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Scheme. They will get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh under this scheme. Under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, health insurance coverage will be provided to every citizen of the country who is above 70 years of age, whether poor or rich, middle or upper middle group. For this, eligible people will have to apply through the official website of PM Jan Aayog Yojana or with the help of Ayushman App.

According to Aadhaar card, all people who have completed 70 years of age are entitled to get free health coverage up to Rs 5 lakh under the extended Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card Senior people eligible for this can now register through Ayushman App or this website of National Health Authority https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in/.
On this Sunday, quoting official sources, news agency PTI-Bhasha reported thatThose who already have Ayushman Card will have to apply again for making a new Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card and will have to complete their eKYC.
