Ayushman Bharat Vay Vandana Card for senior citizens above 70 years:On the occasion of Dhanteras, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) was expanded in the country. With the expansion of the scheme, Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme was launched for all citizens above 70 years of age. Under the expanded Ayushman Bharat Yojana, now all the citizens of the country aged 70 years and above, irrespective of the income group, will get the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. What is Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card?
Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card is for everyone above 70 years of age and there is no income limit, whether the person is poor, rich, middle class or upper class. Under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, every senior citizen of 70 years and above will get free treatment in hospitals. These senior citizens will be given Ayushman Vaya Vandana card.
The objective of this scheme is to provide health services to all senior citizens, so that they do not have to worry financially for treatment. Through this card, all the elderly above 70 years of age will get free treatment in the hospital, which will improve their health.
According to Aadhar Card, every senior citizen who has completed 70 years of age is entitled to get Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card. For this, Aadhaar based e-KYC is necessary for registration and issuance of Ayushman card. Aadhar card is the only document for registration in Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). Health insurance coverage will be provided to all people of every income group of the country under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
