As the anniversary of Shri Ram’s death in Ram Janmabhoomi is approaching, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Trust has announced that the first anniversary will be celebrated on January 11 instead of January 22.
During a meeting held on the day of Somar, the Trust, after consulting the saints and considering the tradition of celebrating Hindu festivals as per the Hindu calendar, decided that the annual festival of consecration of Prabhu Shri Ramlala Sarkar will be organized in Paush. Shukla Dwadashi, which is also called Kurma Dwadashi. This date will henceforth be known as Pratistha Dwadashi, which will fall on January 11 in 2025.
In the meeting, Ram Mandir Trust also took several other decisions ahead of the anniversary:
- Apollo Hospitals, Delhi, will set up a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in 3,000 square meters near the Passenger Service Center within the temple complex.
- A new facility will be built at the southern end of the campus, which will include an auditorium with a capacity of 500 seats, a guesthouse and an office for the trust. Mahant Nritya Gopal Das Ji Maharaj inaugurated the project by unveiling the foundation stone plaque.
- Temporary German hangars, previously used to protect visitors from the elements, will be replaced by 9-metre-wide, 600-metre-long permanent sheds.
- The progress of construction is scheduled as follows: Sapta Mandal Temple will be completed by March, Sheshavatar Temple by August and the outer wall of the temple by October.
