Auto Sales in August 2024:The sales figures of most of the vehicle manufacturing companies have come out. The month of August was a good one for the vehicle companies. During this period, the monthly sales data of vehicle manufacturing companies like JSW MG Motor, Kia, Toyota has increased, while the sales of Indian car manufacturing companies Tata Motors and Mahindra have decreased. Tata Motors domestic sales declined by 8%
In August this year, Tata Motors sold a total of 44,486 passenger vehicles within the country. Whereas in this month last year, the company sold 45,933 passenger vehicles. On an annual basis, the sales of vehicles in the passenger vehicle segment of Tata Motors have decreased by 3 percent. During this period, the company exported only 344 passenger vehicles to foreign markets. Whereas in the same month last year, this figure was 420 units. On an annual basis, the export of Tata’s passenger vehicles has decreased by 18 percent.
In August 2024, Tata Motors sold a total of 5,935 electric cars, while in the same month last year this figure was 6,236 units. Total EV sales have declined by 5 per cent on an annual basis. In August 2024, Tata Motors sold 71,693 vehicles in the domestic and international market, while during August 2023 it was 78,010 units. Within the country, Tata Motors sold a total of 70,006 vehicles in August. Whereas in this month last year, the total domestic sales of Tata Motors were 76,261 units. The company’s domestic sales have declined by 8% on an annual basis.
