According to the data released on November 1, except Tata Motors, sales of Mahindra, Toyota, MG Motor and Hyundai have seen an increase last month. Slight decline in Tata Motors sales
Tata Motors Limited’s domestic and international sales declined marginally to 82,682 units in October, compared to 82,954 units in the same month last year. Tata Motors said in the information given to the stock market, total domestic sales increased marginally to 80,839 units last month, which was 80,825 units in the same period a year ago. Total passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including electric vehicles, declined marginally to 48,423 units in October 2023 from 48,637 units. The company said, similarly, sales of domestic passenger vehicles also declined to 48,131 units, whereas it was 48,337 units in the same month a year ago. Tata Motors said, its total commercial vehicle sales last month were 34,259 units, which was 34,317 units in October 2023.

Mahindra sales increased by 20%
Automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra recorded its best monthly sales in October. The company sold 96,648 units, which is 20 percent more as compared to 80,679 units in the same period last year. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said in a statement, in the utility vehicle segment, it sold 54,504 units in the domestic market, which is 25 percent more than 43,708 units in the same period a year ago. The company said, total wholesale sales of passenger vehicles including exports stood at 55,571 units.
Last month, domestic sales of commercial vehicles stood at 28,812 units. M&M President (Automotive Division) Veejay N. Said, “We are very happy with the highest ever SUV sales of 54,504 vehicles in October, an increase of 25 percent and the highest ever total sales of 96,648 vehicles, an increase of 20 percent. ”He said that the beginning of the month was great and Thar Rocks got 1.7 lakh bookings in the first 60 minutes. The positive momentum in the SUV segment continued in view of the festivals. M&M’s farm equipment segment (FES) recorded its highest-ever monthly domestic sales of 64,326 tractors last month, compared to 49,336 units in October 2023. Total tractor sales including exports stood at 65,453 units last month, while it was 50,460 units in the same period of 2023. “The tractor industry has seen very strong growth with a number of positive factors coming together,” said Hemant Sikka, President (FES), M&M. MG Motor sales increased by 31%
JSW MG Motor India’s wholesale sales in October 2024 increased by 31 percent year-on-year to 7,045 units. JSW MG Motor India said in a statement, New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) remain an important part of its total sales. These contributed more than 70 percent of the total sales in October. Toyota sales increased by 41%
Total sales of Toyota Kirloskar Motor in the month of October increased by 41 percent to 30,845 units, whereas in the same month last year it was 21,879 units. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement that last month domestic sales stood at 28,138 units while exports stood at 2,707 units. Sabri Manohar, vice-president (sales-service-used car business), TKM, said there has been a strong growth in sales of the company’s entire range of products in view of the festivals. “This growth was driven by growing demand and strong demand for our SUVs and MPVs, as well as a significant boost from the launch of the ‘Festival Limited Edition’ of the Urban Cruiser Hyrider, Urban Cruiser Taser, Glanza and Rumion,” he said. Hyundai sales increased
The total vehicle sales of Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) increased by two percent to 70,078 units in the month of October, which was 68,728 units in the same month last year. The recently listed company said in its information to the stock market that its domestic sales increased marginally to 55,568 units in October, which was 55,128 units in the same month last year. The company said that exports increased by 6.7 percent to 14,510 units in October, which was 13,600 units in the same month last year. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer (COO), HMIL, said, “We saw strong demand for our SUV portfolio during the festive period, leading to our highest ever monthly SUV sales of 37,902 units, with Hyundai Creta having the highest sales ever. More monthly domestic sales included 17,497 units. He said that SUVs remain the backbone of the company’s lineup, accounting for 68.2 percent of total monthly sales in October 2024.
