The Formula 1 World Championship continues with the Austrian Grand Prix from June 28 to 30, just a week after Max Verstappen won a new victory in Montmeló. Red Bull is the favorite to win at home, through the current world champion, but the latest events have made it clear that the distance between the red bull’s team and the others is increasingly narrower. That is why this weekend aims to be full of emotions.
Lando Norris pushed Verstappen to the very end in the Spanish Grand Prix and the British driver will be back in action with his McLaren, which is increasingly competing better with the Dutchman’s Red Bull. Mercedes has also made a step forward in Montmeló and will look to confirm these good feelings on the Austrian circuit. Meanwhile, the Spaniards Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso will try to improve their sixth and twelfth place, respectively.
Austrian GP Race Classification
George Russell wins the Austrian GP race. Oscar Piastri is close behind in second place and Carlos Sainz is on the podium in third place. Lewis Hamilton is fourth and Max Verstappen is fifth. Checo Perez is seventh and Fernando Alonso is eighteenth and receives a ten-second penalty for touching Zhou.
