New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has nabbed two people who were planning a major terror attack in Uttar Pradesh. UP police ADG Prashant Kumar said that two people were arrested for planning an attack in Lucknow. Al-Qaeda operatives Minhaus Ahmed and Nasiruddin were arrested.

According to police, the group was planning to carry out blasts in various parts of Uttar Pradesh. According to police, they are members of the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH) terrorist group affiliated with Al Qaeda.

The ATS terrorists were nabbed from a house in Dabbaga area of ​​Kakori. According to reports, the two were arrested following a search conducted on the basis of confidential information. The police official said that explosives and weapons were seized during the raid.

Meanwhile, three suspected terrorists have been arrested in Kolkata. They were nabbed from South Kolkata by the Special Task Force (STF) of the Kolkata Police. According to Kolkata police, the suspects were planning to carry out blasts in different parts of the city.

Police say the three are members of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB) militant group. The PTI quoted the official as saying that a detailed inquiry would be conducted into the incident and all three would be questioned.
