The second Test match of the Ashes series is to be played in Adelaide from 16 December. It will be a Day-Night Test, which will be played with a pink ball. England coach Chris Silverwood said Anderson and Broad will be part of the team in the Test. Silverwood said on Sunday evening, ‘Both players will play in the second Test. Jimmy Anderson is now fit and Stuart (Broad) is ready to play the second Test. But I didn’t tell anyone that he is going to be a part of the team now.

In the first Test against Australia, England had fielded fast bowlers Ollie Robinson, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood, Ben Stokes and spinner Jack Leach, while the pacers were somewhat economical. Left-arm spinner Leach, 30, conceded 102 runs in 13 overs at an economy rate of nearly eight.
