Amul cuts milk prices: There is relief news for the customers struggling with the rising prices of milk. Amul has announced a reduction in milk prices by Re 1 per liter across the country. Why were milk prices reduced?
Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which manages the Amul brand, has said that the cut has been made in view of the improvement in milk availability and decline in demand after the festive season. Managing Director of Amul, R. S. Sodhi said, “We have reduced the prices of milk to provide relief to the consumers. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the improvement in supply and reduction in production cost.”

Which products will be cheap?
This price cut by Amul will be applicable on all major milk variants. This includes Amul Gold, Amul Taja, and Amul Shakti. The new prices have come into effect with immediate effect. R. S. According to Sodhi, “Reduction in milk price will help in creating a better balance between farmers and consumers.”
