America’s Biden administration, which is facing criticism over its migration policy, has now taken an important U-turn at the policy level to stop infiltration from the Mexico border. The Biden administration’s Home Office has underlined the urgent need to build a section of the wall in South Texas to stop the rising levels of illegal migration from Texas. This border of about 32 km will be constructed in Starr County on the border with Mexico, where a huge increase in infiltration has been recorded in the past few days. According to the department’s data, so far in this financial year, about 2 lakh 45 thousand illegal immigrants have entered from this area. To ensure that the rapid construction of this wall is not hindered, permission has also been given to bypass 26 federal laws such as the Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, etc.
