Algeria’s national oil company Sonatrach plans to increase its annual revenue by $ 13 billion to $ 33 billion.
The head of the company, Tawfiq Hakkar, informed the official news agency of Algeria APS about this.
The situation in the international energy markets allows the company to set a goal for the end of the year with revenues of $ 30-33 billion, he said.
According to him, the company’s revenues have grown significantly this year. For 8 months of this year, oil sales revenue amounted to about $ 20 billion, which corresponds to the company’s total revenue in 2020, Hakkar said.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a serious negative impact on the economy of Algeria, an oil-producing country with a population of 45 million.
